Comics and History: The American Revolution

Within the world of comic books, both superheroes and supervillains have often found ways to travel into the past, with the American Revolution being an especially popular destination. Doctor Doom, the sorceress Morgan Le Fay, and Kang the Conqueror have all tried to change the outcome of the war, while Superman witnessed the signing of the Declaration of Independence. In the 1940s, Batman even re-enacted key moments from the revolution. Taken together, these narratives tell the story of the War for Independence in an entertaining way.
